Question...Why should you consider using Young Living Essential Oils in your life daily? I need to begin with my story of why my family even thought of using Essential Oils.
At the time of writing this I have been married for 28 years. 25 of these years I have been using dried herbs and other natural supplements. During this time I did my research about herbs and how to use them properly, including purchasing several different herbal books. I am a big reader and the internet was not as it was today.
I make a dried medicinal tea with dried oregano, thyme, rosemary, a base organic tea lemon ginger, parsley, and marshmallow root. This is just one of the several things I make with dried herbs.
Fast forward many years later to May 2014. I began to see and read posts on social media about Young Living Essential Oils. Many recipes were being shared. One which caught my eye was an mixture for chemical free outside annoyance spray. Seemed funny at the time for I was searching on the internet for a recipe just for that product. I am a Christian and believe the Lord truly led me to this information.
All during this time in May 2014, I began to research the essential oil companies. Asking myself why did Young Living seem to have good oils compared to other companies. I thought at first they were all the same and probably came from the same manufacturer and the companies placed their own labels on them. Boy, was I wrong in my thought process. I quickly realized not all oils are created equal. Seed to Seal caught my attention.
First, the growing and farming of the plant and fruit material is done with precise timing. The seeds need to be harvested from strong healthy plants. Keeping the plants in the ground for the right amount of time is important before harvesting them. Second, the time the harvested material needs to rest after harvesting is critical. Third, is the distillation process of the plant and fruit material. Temperature and duration time for the steam distillation process must be done correctly. Fourth, what is the extracted oil actually placed in before bottling is completed must be considered when choosing a company. Fifth, testing of the oil, in house and third party is very important. Lastly, is the company adding anything to the essential oils before it is bottled.
I asked people many questions, trying to get the answers I needed before choosing a company. Plus, my husband and I prayed and asked God for a clear direction. For my family the natural homeopathic route has always been very important to us.
After a few weeks of research, both my husband and I came to a conclusion of the company we wanted to use oils from. You see, I am extremely allergic to chemical laden household and beauty products. For many years I have been using fragrance free products. The process of realizing the reason why I could not use fragrance items was brought to the light in July 2014. I could not get enough research in my mind by asking questions, reading books, and from reliable sites on the internet.
Many people cannot handle the artificial chemical molecules of the fragrances. My body just screams, "Get this stuff off me!" My system reacts by getting itchy skin, rashes, headaches and other non fun things. Overall I did not feel well at all.
Our bodies were made to take in natural things. My system enjoys invigorated, calmed, supporting items. Write a list of things your currently using and begin a process of elimination of how your feeling and what household and beauty products your using.
As my research continued over time, household products became a big life changer for me. We removed every cleaning product from our home. Instead making homemade cleaners with the following oils; Thieves, Lemon, Purification, Hinoki, and several more essential oils. Switched to non fluoride toothpaste, homemade mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
Once these changes happened, I began to literally feel better within a week. Yes, household products can make you sick. Start your own search on the internet to see what you come up with.
