Einkorn Granola

Happy Tuesday to you! Today I wanted to share my experience with Young Living's Einkorn Granola. This is a brand new product which was released in June, along with several other new products.

I was very excited to see this type of product available to myself and family now. I have a gluten intolerance. During my days, I do my best and stay away from food items which contain gluten.

Einkorn wheat contains 14 chromosomes and has gluten. Regular wheat even organic contains 42 chromosomes. Does this make a difference you ask? Why yes it does. Einkorn is actually an ancient grain and has not been genetically modified. The fewer chromosomes actually are supposed to be the natural amount. So, our bodies can actually digest the Einkorn flour, and products correctly.

Let me give you a bit of background why I love this granola. This product contains the Einkorn flour. I am able to eat this flour and the pasta products. At first I was cautious when trying this flour. Needless to say, I was doing the happy dance! When I did eat it, my digestive system was not having issues. Actually, I am able to eat all of our food products which contain the Einkorn flour.

The granola is wonderful! we eat it dry as a snack, with milk as cold or hot cereal, sprinkle on top with fruit cobblers, add to my Greek fruit yogurt and several more ways. Having this product available to myself and family without all the artificial ingredients is a blessing. If you have an intolerance to gluten you may want to consider adding this product to your pantry.

What ways you could use this product in your home?

* If you do have the other gluten disease, talk to your doctor before eating it. Everyone's system is different. Better to err on the side of caution first.
